OUR PRODUCT CREATION PROCESS

DESIGN

PHASE

Choose from over 150 designs for your custom security screen doors, wrought iron entry doors, iron gates, and window security screens in Tucson. Any design works on any of our products, and every design can be customized to match your home’s style. Have your own idea? Bring us your design and our in-house fabrication team will build it to your exact specifications.

FABRICATION

PHASE

Our fabricators build off computerized drawings which ensures our high craftsmanship that the brand SWIW is know for. The majority of our fabrication crew have been with us over 10 years. Throughout the fabrication phase we require tests and inspections that each product must pass. We utilize different welding types depending on the application. Each job is born on our hardened steel, plasma nitrite treated tables. A modular clamping system on our welding tables ensures straight and proper alignment.

INSTALLATION

PHASE

Installation matters as much as the design. Our trained and certified technicians handle every security door and iron gate installation from start to finish. No subcontractors here: every technician wears our logo and drives a company truck. They’re trained on many types of home construction, from older Tucson homes to new builds in Marana, Oro Valley, Dove Mountain, Rita Ranch, and Vail. Every lead technician is certified with a minimum of 250 Class II installs.

FINISHED

PRODUCT

Once your installation is complete and has passed our inspection process, your technician will walk you through your new product from top to bottom. That includes how it operates, how to clean it, routine maintenance, and when to schedule a security screen door tune-up to keep everything working smoothly for years. Your technician will then review your contract with you and answer any questions before leaving.

Customer Testimonials

“They are beautiful and of better quality than any other that I’ve seen. They look and feel custom. Their service and honesty is outstanding.”

– T. Vida

“I received a professional estimate from Abel and he helped design a door that was unique and beautiful. The installation was perfect and after 3 years no bugs come into the house and the door itself still looks brand new.”

– M. Souza

“Southwest Iron did a superb job both in the fabrication and in the installation of our two doors. We love being able to open our main doors at night to the evening breezes and coyotes’ songs, and still feel maximum security.”

– B. Phipps

“We have purchased three security screen doors from Southwest Iron Works and have been completely satisfied with the product. We had an older door refinished and it looks like it’s brand new.”

– D. Bolender

“This is the 6th time we have engaged Southwest Iron Works for a custom project over the last 22 years, not to mention how many times we have referred them to others! The fact they’ve been in business so long should speak VOLUMES as to their reputation and quality of work. Abel & Deann Cruz are not just great people themselves, but they run a great business and truly care about the customer and the finished product. Southwest Iron Works is designed and manufactured right here in Tucson – they are not reselling doors made elsewhere! If you want something cheap, go elsewhere. If you want something you are proud to have for your home, talk to these guys.”
